Last Crusade Nazi Fighter The fighters used for production were supposed to resemble BF-109's used in the WW2 era. The actual plane was actually the Swiss Pilatus P-2 trainer--which is not a fighter nor was used during WW2. The P-2 appearing in the film may be one of these, which are both painted in German Airforce colors:

P-2.05 s/n 37 A-117 / U-117 / F-AZCC (painted as "261")
